What does vertigo mean? Is this a disease?

Vertigo is called dizziness as a result of dysfunction in the balance system. During vertigo, patients express that they revolve around objects or people. Vertigo is not a disease; is a finding. For this reason, the diagnosis should be made by investigating which disease causes vertigo. The treatment of each disease that causes vertigo is different. Therefore, the treatment of vertigo should be done after the underlying disease is detected.
