What is snoring?

Snoring is the sound produced by the vibration of the surrounding soft tissues as air passes through a narrow space during breathing. As the stenosis increases, snoring will naturally intensify. Contrary to popular belief, the stenosis that causes snoring is not only associated with a pathology in the nose, but is generally associated with the narrowing of the upper respiratory tract behind the tongue and around the pharynx.
